Up to 300% longer service life of products through WC / C coatings

With tungsten carbide, sophisticated coatings are possible that:

  • are particularly hard and durable, and protect heavily used components, such as engine parts, from wear.

  • with hydrogen-free coatings are used in the weaving industry for reeds and thus achieve a 300% longer service life.

  • through protection  increase the efficiency of rolling bearings against surface fatigue.

Standard applications are a thing of the past,
unique and outstanding coating results are now in demand.

Tailor-made alloys for specific and demanding applications and

of course also standard sizes in the form of individual offers.

INNOVATIVE COATINGS
TO MEET THE HIGH MARKET AND CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS

Carbide coatings that offer excellent interfacial adhesion to hydrogen-free carbon coatings through HiPIMS applications.

With special cathode configurations, no additional metallic interface layers are required on tools. This makes it possible, after a quick and thin tungsten-carbon interface layer, to begin coating hard amorphous carbon directly on the tools. This eliminates the need for environmentally harmful chrome plating.
